Architectural Panels INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT: Read instructions completely before starting installation. To
insure permanent adhesion, the panel should be at room temperature four
hours prior to actual installation.
Due to
the flexibility of the panel, it is recommended that two people do
installations up to 4’ x 4’ panels and three people for panels 4’ x 5’ and
larger.
Installing on a wall or other flat surface.
Clean
surface of the wall using a detergent and water to remove all dust, oil or
other foreign matter and let dry. Mark wall to indicate vertical and
horizontal edge positions that the architectural panel will take, see fig.
1A. Then apply a non-water based contact adhesive to the panel and the
surface to which it is being applied. Let dry about 5 minutes. Continue
with ‘For All Installations” below,
Installing over Existing Chalkboards.

Clean surface
of chalkboard using a detergent and water to remove all dust, oil or other
foreign mailer and let dry. Use inside edges of chalkboard molding for
horizontal and vertical positions, see fig. 2A. Then apply a non-water
based contact adhesive to the panel and the chalkboard. Let dry about 5
minutes. Continue with “For All Installations” below,
For All Installations
1. Position panel so that the bottom edge is horizontal with the bottom
edge of the molding. See figs. 1 A & 2B. BE SURE TOP PORTION OF PANEL DOES
NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH WALL SURFACE.
2. Apply initial pressure to the bottom center of the panel. Using a
clean, dry cloth, work out to side edges. Be sure all air pockets are
worked out. See figs. 1C & 2C.
3. Repeat pressing procedure while progressing upward on panel, pressing
approximately 8” at a time. See figs. 10 & 20.
4. Using a linoleum roller and plenty of elbow grease, apply pressure over entire surface of panel, working from center out
toward edges until complete contact is made between back of panel and wall
surface.
5. Remove protective covering

clean surface with
liquid detergent or Formula 409. Rinse thoroughly with water. Follow Care
& Maintenance instructions. |
