Quartet’s melamine Mark ‘N Wipe boards offer excellent write-on, wipe-off capabilities with dry-erase markers. More porous than porcelain, permanent markers should not be used on melamine surfaces.

Without steel substrates, melamine boards are lighter than porcelain and non-magnetic. Proper care and cleaning will add life to this durable coating on tempered hardboard surface, making melamine marker boards an economical and lightweight alternative to porcelain.

A porcelain enamel on steel board has an extremely durable surface that can survive tough daily use, and serve as a magnetic bulletin board.

The porcelain on steel surface is highly resistant to scratching, denting or staining by any marker because the porcelain is fired at extremely high temperatures to fuse the porcelain enamel to a steel substrate. The result is a hard, non-porous, non-absorbent surface. The porcelain on steel Re-Mark-Able boards also serve as a full-size magnetic bulletin board for magnetic push pins and accessories.
